I feel confident in saying that we all gained priceless comfort and critical knowledge in fulfilling our fund development role for artsPlace.”

Capacity-building

  • Regular support by phone or in person to discuss strategic planning and activities around execution of fundraising plans and other projects as identified.

  • Tools and support in designing and activating fundraising plans.

  • Strategic planning, advice, and acting as a strategic thinking partner for senior staff on topics of fundraising, operations, and policy development.

  • Attendance at Board meetings, make presentations as appropriate.

  • Review of donor lists, proactive identification of new prospective donors.

Coaching

  • Coaching for leadership and staff.

  • Being a "thinking partner" for leaders. Leaders are often looking for someone with whom they can work things through. They can’t be totally open with the board they report to, or the staff they are accountable for. We can help by being a sounding board, brainstorming with them, and helping to identify possible solutions while providing advice and perspective.

Execution

  • Executing approved plans for events and fundraising campaigns.

  • Developing cases for support, grant-writing, and research.

  • Conducting focus groups with stakeholders.

  • Interviewing prospective donors as an external consultant to collect data, advice and input, and interest in major gift support.

  • Training of Board members and key volunteers in the fundraising process, role of the board and making the ask.

Interim leadership

  • Help streamlining your leadership transition process and support your organization through this transition.

  • Determining your team’s future leaders and leadership structure.

  • Support to ensure your fundraising plans move forward during transition.

  • Other services in a variety of areas including resource development, capacity-building, strategic planning, board development, campaign planning and management, coaching, and services for families and organizations looking for advice in strategic philanthropy.
